Mental Health Awareness Month
As we close out the month of May, aka Mental Health Awareness Month, let’s all remember that every month we should focus on our mental health. Every month we should check in with ourselves and see how we are feeling. It may sound simple, but most of us don’t do this. It really only takes a minute or two to stop what we are doing, take a few deep breaths, and just notice what comes to us. Anxiety? Restlessness? Racing mind chatter? Those are your wake up calls to introduce more activities in your life that make you feel good & eliminate those that don’t.
Or, do you feel peace? Contentment? Happiness? Those are also wake up calls to continue doing what you’re doing. It’s working!
If we don’t check in with ourselves frequently, how will we ever know how mentally healthy we really are? Our brains deserve as much attention as our bodies when it comes to health.
